went in with my fiance. helped by both sandy and anthony, asst manager and manager. they sold me a band that came as part of a set so i thought that was nice. band wasnt the size i wanted so rather than shrink it they just ordered hersize. came in a week later and it was ready. but, ring was a bit small, so they said i can come in and exchange it or resize it. even offered me a free carnival cruise. price was a little high, but i got a 1/2 ctw princess channel white gold band for 900 Stainless Steel Rings, however the color was better quality than other stores offering me cheaper prices. i thought customer service was great thats why im wriitng this review. brought out water, cleaned my fiances engagement ring, gave us gift cards towards a future purchase, probably m,y wedding band! all around great experience
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would.The first time BH and I came here a few weeks ago, we were quite pleased with the customer service. ?The big guy (owner?) and the Chinese lady were working there helped my boyfriend and I pick out a setting and a diamond. ?The center was around 1 carat, princess cut and the setting was around $650. ?Total was around 10k. . .and a few days later, the owner called my boyfriend and said he would give us the ring for around $8750. ?Really cheap.Good thing we didn’t buy it then and there. ?The owner told us he was having a diamond show today (11/27) and that we should stop by.We did and we were HORRIFIED by what we found. ?The service was AWFUL. ?The sales people that helped us at IOTR, Diamond Center, even Helzberg remembered us and even the settings and diamonds we were looking at. ?The Chinese lady and the owner did not recognize us.Bad mistake.The Chinese lady helped us again and showed us the SAME setting for $6k. ?She said it was half off and now $3k. ?Bullshit. ?She even had the nerve to show me a setting that was $17k!!!! ?I nearly choked when she showed me the price tag Stainless Steel Earrings, and even had the AUDACITY to say it was now half off for $8k.People, the prices she quoted me were for JUST THE SETTINGS and DID NOT include the center stone. ?I got really curt with her, and basically straight up told her (loud enough so others could hear) that I could get the same setting but BETTER quality with BETTER diamonds for way less – for $1500 or less. ?I grabbed BH’s arm and we got out of that hell hole.Please do not EVER buy from Romano’s. ?Obviously they care more about making a profit than helping out customers. ?To think they thought we were stupid enough to fall for the “raising prices up only to give you half off” scam to make you think you’re getting a better deal – that won’t work on us. ?We’ve shopped around enough and been to enough places that we can smell a rat when it comes crawling out of a sewer.
Well, the good news is that I found the ring I want here! The service started out great from a lady named Sandy. She showed me rings beginning with the really expensive ones. I told her those were way out of the budget so she took me over to a lesser selection. In this selection I found the perfect ring. Sandy moves very fast and jumped straight into talking money with my boyfriend. It probably took about 10 minutes from when we walked in to Romano’s, to talking money. I was kind of… “NBD but really?” about that. One thing that really annoyed me was that while she was talking money with my boyfriend CZ jewelry, I was naturally browsing more rings through the cases, and then, naturally, wanted to try on more huge expensive rings just for fun. I mean, after all, we were only in there for about 20 minutes. When I asked to try on a few more rings, she kept telling me to “hold on” and “let me finish” in a bossy way. My boyfriend and I would look at each other and giggle or secretly make faces when she’d do this. It happened a few times. Luckily, we’re not super picky and were just there to have fun and find the right ring… So we did that – with each other and had a great time. Sandy is a very nice lady and I do believe she had our best interest in mind. We’d go back, but we have experienced better. And I’m really happy that I found the ring I want! I’ve been looking, trust me.
This store is just full of BLING!! G’ddam!! Don’t go blind in here, folks!! This is your one stop for all the bling you could ever need and/or want. I stopped in here once, before the store moved upstairs near JC Penney. ?I noticed, they sell a lot of gawdy things. ?They sell everything from iced out watches and cuff links to huge cross pendants and rings of all sizes. ?I do not know how the quality of their merchandise is, but you could definitely go blind in here. They offer in house financing as well. ?Just like every other jewelry store,they are preparing for their Valentines Day sales!! Look to them if your girl or guy has some serious taste or is just picky and wants something real unique. THey will even make custom pieces for you. While the sales people seem real cold, they are quite friendly. I have yet to purchase anything here. . . but that’s because the piece I like is about $7,000+

Love this place! Farid and his wife are the best and will always work hard to help you find the right jewlery! My husband and I bought our wedding bands here, my engagement ring and my cross. General Diamonds did a fantastic job helping me find the right ring for the right price. Farid is very reasonable and knowledgable. They will help you with price since that is a major concern when buying a ring. I knew the bare minimum about diamonds when I came in and he knew just what I was looking for without me having to say a lot. I highly recommend that if you’re thinking about buying an engagement ring, or any kind of jewelry, you head down here. Parking can be difficult, but it’s worth it if you want a fair deal. And if you are thinking about using Robbins Brothers, don’t. Use them to get an idea of what your fiance wants, then go here to get it at half the price. One thing to keep in mind, though, is that they don’t do financing, so have money saved or a credit card ready. But considering that you will be charged twice as much to finance, this is the way to go.

I first came across General Diamonds after a friend had mentioned he had a good experience with purchasing an engagement ring there and decided to make the trip up from San Diego.I didn’t know much about diamonds, but it didn’t matter. The owners went over every aspect of a diamond and how the variables really come together. Most jewelers just show you only what you ask to see (especially true of the chain stores I visited), but the owners here let me see a range of diamond qualities just to better illustrate the differences between grades to help me make a much more informed decision. Farid and Aida (the owners) were incredibly helpful, but above all they were honest.Of course, the greatest thing about my experience was the price. Nowhere else would I be able to get the quality of ring I did at the price the owners gave me.The whole experience was amazing: great quality diamonds at a price far better than any other jeweler and owners that have great advice on what to look for in each diamond to ensure you get what you want and not what they think you should buy. I took my brother-in-law to them on Christmas Eve so he could purchase his engagement ring from them as well and they were able to build him the ring he wanted in a single day so that he could propose on Christmas Day – that type of custom ring service over the holidays won’t be found anywhere else. I don’t intend to ever go to another jewelry store.
When my fiance proposed to me he decided to let me pick out the ring of my choice. Well the hunting for ‘the ring’ took us a good 2 and a half weeks of walking into store after store. We started out with the well known stores like Robins Brothers, Jewelry Exchange of Tustin, Zales…Each one of them had ridiculous prices and policies on the tiniest carat diamond rings. Just as I was ready to give up, I searched online and found Hill St’s jewelry district. What is funny is that when I yelped Hill St Jewelry stores this place did not pop up. As good as all the other jewelry stores on Hill St were, they didnt have the service, selection and prices that General Diamonds can offer. Aida was just so welcoming right from the first moment we stepped into the store. While at first glance Sterling Silver Bracelets, I didnt think there would be much of a selection there (compared to a store like Robbins Bros), I was surprised. They have quite a selection-plus every ring of theirs is so pretty. Once I picked the ring I LOVED, Farid and Aida showed me the official certification on the diamonds. Aida made sure we looked threw the little scope at our rock Stainless Steel Earrings, so we would know its minute imperfections listed in the certification. General Diamonds was by far the best place I shopped at. I will be sure to be coming back to this store for al my jewelry needs. Thank you Farid and Aida. I absolutely LOVE my ring.
I was shopping around for an engagement ring, I wanted to surprise my girlfriend. I tried the malls, but there prices were out there, so a friend suggested the jewelry district in downtown. Went to a few places, but I wasn’t happy with the stuff that I saw. I wanted something spectacular and I wanted a piece with quality. I found it at general diamonds. Aida and Farid were the nicest couple to work with, they had a great selection of rings, and they also had a great selection of quality center stones. I saw a ring I fell in love with and I was pretty sure my girlfriend would fall in love with it also. No pressure to buy, no sales person breathing down your neck trying to make a sale. Last year, I was looking to sell some of my gold jewelry, have some settings repaired and loose diamonds and gems used to create gifts for my children. ?I went to a ridiculous number of jewelers and “gold buyers” that were obvious rip offs as jewelry that appraised for 15k was valued at by these scammers as $400-$700. ?Take a look at my previous reviews. ? I came across Kristof’s in Sherman Oaks and was thrilled with their honest analysis of the value of the jewelry I wanted to sell and was happy with the pieces they created for my girls. ?I found a gold watch I haven’t worn in years due to an allergic reaction to nickel in the clasp and was thinking that I should take it to Ari at Kristof’s to have the clasp replaced and another bracelet repaired. ?To my surprise there was a message on my voice mail this afternoon from Ari informing me of a 50% off sale at the store. ?What are the chances of that ever happening again.If you’re looking for a last minute gift Sterling Silver Jewelry, engagement ring or perhaps a little something for Valentines day you have to check out Kristof’s. ?They also have great financing up 18 months same as cash.
My fiance and I purchased our wedding bands from the owner of this store 925 Sterling Silver Jewelry, he seamed charming and European funny and his price was better than anywhere else. ?The phrase “It’s too good to be true” is exactly what this store is all about. ?When I went to see the rings, they ended up being a whole size bigger than my finger on my ring and they had some other ring for my fiance (he wanted a polished white gold band and they showed me something that looked like brushed titanium – huge difference in cut too). ?Then they could not even look in their files to see that it wasn’t the ring because they never actually wrote it down! ?Can you believe that? ?They never wrote down the ring we ordered or the size we needed and when I was supposed to pick up the rings and I saw it was wrong did they ask what we actually ordered! ?Thank god we had several months to go till our wedding or we would have been SOL.

Jolie Designs is fantastic! ?My wife and I first met Michael when we were shopping for her engagement ring. ?We wanted to get an old fashioned style that is difficult to find today, but Jolie had it. ?We also wanted to make sure that she could get a matching wedding band that would stack nicely with the engagement ring. ?That was no problem at all. ?Michael was very helpful and patient with us and the rings came back wonderful.Then it was time for my ring and I really couldn’t find a wedding band that I was happy with. ?My wife’s ring looks like a bunch of leaves and flowers and I wanted something that could kind of go with that theme Stainless Steel Rings, but obviously look more masculine. ?Ultimately, I went back to Michael to have a custom ring made. ?The ring was designed to look like several intertwining branches made of different colors of gold. ?It came out looking amazing!Great new location in Manhattan Beach, excellent staff, beautiful jewelry, and a fair price — I don’t think it gets any better!
Wow…. This place is a hidden gem. I have been working with Helen for the past few months to design my one-of-the kind aniversary ring. And I tell you, the exprience couldn’t be easier. Watching the ring built from a scratch design on paper (several inspirations from jewelry magazines), to wax model and the final casting product was the best. Helen was there every step of the way to explain every question that I had. She educated me about the 4Cs of the diamond and worked with my budget. I am recently engaged (woohoo!) and for some reason had told my boyfriend that I was a ring size 7 which I am definitely NOT. My center diamond is an heirloom so I didn’t want to leave my ring for a week with just anyone to re-size, but I had to get it done pronto. After reading all of the positive yelp reviews on Jewelry Connection I decided to bring my ring in. Once again Stainless Steel Bangles, yelpers have helped me with a FANTASTIC find. Both the owner and jeweler were SO nice and helpful. You get to watch as they’re working on your ring (which was terrifying even though I trusted him), and he had me try it on for a perfect fit before permanently soldering it. I was in and out within 20 minutes (no joke, 20 minutes) and the re-sizing was SEAMLESS. For $45 I don’t know why you would leave your ring with anyone else when you can have it done immediately. I plan on having Jewelry Connection do my jewelry maintenance from now on. Amazing.

I woke up one Sunday morning determined to get my engagement ring sized so I jumped on yelp and started calling around. I must have called about 5 places and no one open on Sunday. I finally got a hold of jewelry store in the West Pavilion but Stainless Steel Earrings, of course, they sent their jewelry out to be sized. They did, however, recommend Jewelry Connection Sterling Silver Bangles, also located in the mall.It hadn’t been reviewed yet so I was a little skeptical but decided I was sick and tired of my ring flopping around so off I went.Moti, the owner, was great! He explained the process to me and picked out the perfect size. It turns out you can go a tiny bit smaller and stretch it out slightly in a matter of seconds if its still a little tight. So I trusted his opinion and went with a slighter smaller size. This made me nervous, but it ended up fitting perfectly! He clearly knew what he was talking about!He got it done in little over an hour while I shopped and it looked gorgeous and shiny again! The price was totally reasonable as well. I would definitely recommend Jewelry Connection!
I’d been putting off getting my engagement ring sized because I read all these warnings about stores swapping out diamonds, etc. ?Luckily, I found this place where they do the work on site while you watch. ?Not only was the craftsmanship first rate, the owner and the master jeweler who did the sizing are very friendly and fun to talk to. ?My ring looks amazing and the price was very reasonable. ?I plan to take all of my repairs to this store.
Had my wedding band resized.I have been wearing this ring in my pinkie because I did not know some 20 years ago that one’s fingers will still grow in size. Hah!So I was killing time in the mall while the wife and daughter shopped, I stopped by their store to inquire about resizing. He said he could do it in less than an hour.I came back at the promised time, and when I slipped my resized ring (which looked so great after cleaning) it was perfect.Fast and friendly service, reasonable price.
These guys were great. ?I took my bracelet in to have a new clasp put on. ?They not only did that but cut off the old clasp and he tightened the charm i have dangling from it. ?And they even did it within 20 minutes time. ?How awesome are they! ?I would go back to them anytime for any piece of jewelry.
Took the girl and her engagement ring in to be sized on Christmas eve 30 minutes before closing. The owner helped us out, sized the girls finger and set his jeweler to the task. He insisted we watch the entire process so we could watch over the diamond the entire time. The staff were all super friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to be around. 30 minutes later they had perfectly sized the ring, polished it to perfection and even though we came in late on Christmas eve, they gave us a holiday discount!!!Needless to say we will be customers for life, great experience and truly good people at the Jewelry Collection.

Jewelry PolishingAfter picking up my setting and having it set with the diamond I purchased we were off to get my setting polished up. I guess I assumed the setting would be all pretty when I went to pick it up but it was in it’s raw form. Jack took me to two places. A setter to place my diamond onto the ring and then to Mike’s place to polish it up. I was totally excited and watched him spin his wheels on my precious stone and setting. As the wheel spun my ring became shinier and shinier. It took him a good 25 minutes to get it to tip top shape. I was elated and my ring sparkled ?I was jumping with joy but not literally. Now if you go on your own it’s like $15 bucks but I guarantee whatever you take to him it will be awesome when you get it back. ?I looked at other things he was polishing and they looked superb. Two thumbs up here fashion jewelry!

The owner who does the shopping for this store has magnificent taste. The clothes, the set up, even the dressing room, makes you feel oh so good. The way it’s categorized = two thumbs up ! Someone put some serious thoughts into it. The very sweet lady that worked there informed me about Last Friday Girls Night Out. Encore Noveau is less of a clothing store and feels more like you are hanging out with your girlfriends trying on clothes and having “girl talk”. In fact, the store is set up almost like a house and even has a little kitchenette area. Instantly when you walk in, you are welcomed by the insatiably bubbly owner and her employees/friends. Free coffee, tea, and comfy chairs welcome you to just sit, sip, and mingle with them. Before long, you forget you are here to look at clothes! Described by the owner as a “contemporary resale shop”; various name-brand and bouquet clothing is offered in various sizes.The quality is high as Encore Nouveau is not a consignment shop but rather has a buyer whom works with other stores as clients for the pieces. Unfortunately, this reflects on the pricetag, as it is somewhat expensive. However, there is a $15 rack. The clothing is more in line with a trendy office worker or milf-esque woman versus a younger appeal but works for the 20-something year old searching for an outfit for a tea or lunch. My favorite part was when I tried on a blouse and it just didn’t push my “must-have” button and instead of trying to talk me into purchasing it, the owner suggested that I keep looking. I love when store owners actually care about a customer’s satisfaction versus just selling the product! Lovely vibe and excellent customer service. Bravo!

This is one of my favorite shops now! Located almost directly across from It’s a Wrap, Encore Nouveau has stylish clothes at fantastic prices. They are not used (unlike it’s across the street neighbor) but mostly come from sample sales.The owner has an eye for style and will be frank about what would look good with that pink skirt you are trying on or what to wear underneath the retro yellow sundress. She’ll also tell you to help yourself to the kitchenette stocked full of tea, coffee, bottled water and cookies! It was the most beautiful diamond ring I’ve ever seen in my life. Her stats were 2.6-E-VS1…you girls who know about diamonds will know exactly what that means. It was a dream ring…I didn’t even want to keep it on for too long because breathing became an impossible task while she was on my finger. My heart hurt….my body hurt….she was the most beautiful….most flawless ring I’ve ever touched. My boyfriend shooed me away to talk shop with Raymond and I wandered about looking at the other jewelry….but I couldn’t stop thinking about that breathtaking Micro Pave. Everyone in the “salon” was very nice…not snooty and rude like most hoity toity places. It was a wonderful experience….and I hope every girl gets to experience Harry at some point in their life.
